Centreville was on a three game winning streak and they hosted rivals Chantilly. Patrick Fuller, Marcus Mack, Sahil Mehta, William Unterkofler and Brendan Doyle started the game.  Chantilly won the tip off and hit a 3 pointer to score the first points of the game. Patrick Fuller scored a two pointer and William Unterkofler did the same thing. This was Centreville’s only lead of the game.  Chantilly hit a three pointer and then got fouled and scored another 2 pointes. The rest of the first quarter was pretty much back and forth but Centreville could not catch up. The score at the end of the first quarter was 15-10 Chantilly.  Chantilly came out of the break and scored 4 quick points and then Centreville finally responded and scored a three from Marcus Mack. Centreville could not retake the lead or get close to Chantilly in the second quarter. It ended 27-17 Chantilly. 

 

The game started again and William Unterkofler made a huge dunk which got the crowd excited. However, Chantilly killed the momentum right away and with a 3 point shot. Chantilly continued to extend their lead but Centreville stayed behind them hoping for a 4th quarter comeback. The third quarter ended with a score of 43-32 Chantilly. The fourth quarter Chantilly just completely overpowered Centreville and scored 15 in the quarter compared to Centreville’s 7. Centreville managed to score the last points of the game showing that they did not give up and wanted to continue to fight.

 

The fans were into the game and doing many chants. The team did not give up even after Chantilly took aa huge lead. Centreville’s next game is home vs Herndon on 1/12/16. Hopefully the team can get back on track and to have a chance against Westfield.
