Varsity Outdoor Track
The team uniform store is now open from February 11- February 27 at midnight. The team store consist of a mandatory uniform (Men's Spandex Shorts, Ladies Spandex Shorts, Track Cut Jersey, and T-Shirt). The Hoodie and Jacket are optional.
There is a Mandatory Spring track interest meeting on Thursday, February 14 in the lecture hall at 3:10. In this meeting we will discuss requirements for first day of practice, uniform, fundraisers, schedule, and etc. All athletes must attend and bring a new emergency care form. Each athlete, regardless if they have done a sport in the fall or winter, must have a new emergency care form for the spring. A copy of the emergency care form can be found in the Team Files Tab. These three items are state required and have to be completed in order to participate on Tuesday, February 19. If you already have a VHSL physical form on file from a previous season, you are not required to get another one. This form can be found in the team files tab. If you have already completed the parent/athlete concussion education course, you are not required to do it again. The link to the concussion education course can be found in the Team Links tab. Please double check with the athletic trainer. A new Emergency Care Form is required for each season of sport regardless if you have turned one in to a coach during the fall or winter season. A new one is required for the spring season. An Emergency Care Form can be found in the Team Files tab.
First day of practice is Tuesday, February 19th. In order to start practice you must have a VHSL physical form already on file with the athletic trainer. If you have played a sport in the fall, winter, or have one on file with the athletic trainer, then you do not have to have a new one. Adult and student concussion education course must be completed, which can be found on www.wearecville.com website. A new emergency care form, regardless if you had one from a previous season, all athletes must have a new emergency care form for the spring. All of this must be turned in and completed in order to practice the first day.
Athletes will not be able to compete in a track meet unless all of the required team forms are completed and returned. The team checklist, team fund, signed team contract (signature page only), and participation form are all mandatory for the team. All parents are highly encouraged to join the boosters. These forms are due Monday, February 25th. Please turn in all required forms together in a sealed envelope with Athletes name on it.
The team schedule is set. The only meets that are subject to change are the invitational meets. All other district meets and championship meets are set. We do have two overnight meets scheduled for this season. One will be held at Christopher Newport University in Newport News and the other is Penn Relays that is held at University of Penn in Philadelphia. Please check the schedule for dates.
